Regulatory bodies worldwide are increasingly tasked with evaluating the safety and effectiveness of psychedelic therapies.
The IPEA Working Group convenes a multidisciplinary team of experts to critically assess existing frameworks for evidence evaluation and to consider their suitability for psychedelic treatments.
Our goal is to provide sound expert recommendations based on multidisciplinary perspectives that are firmly anchored in the pluralistic advances of the philosophy of evidence and causality in medicine.
Members are selected renowned scientists, philosophers and health experts who are not involved in psychedelic research and have no conflicts of interest.
Speakers at meetings are selected leading psychedelic researchers from many fields, including pharmacology and cellular biology, neuroimaging, clinical trials, causal inference, psychotherapy, lived experience from patients from past studies, and an indigenous expert. All with as little conflicts of interest as possible, necessarily disclosed.
