Mazviita Chirimuuta, BSc, PhD

Mazviita Chirimuuta is a British philosopher currently working at the University of Edinburgh. Her original training was in visual neuroscience and she writes on various topics relating to explanation in neuroscience, the history of the mind/brain sciences, and the computational theory of the brain. Her recent book, The Brain Abstracted, was published by MIT Press and has been awarded the Nayef Al-Rodhan Book Prize from The Royal Institute of Philosophy and the Lakatos Award from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
