Yuria Celidwen, PhD
Research Scientist, Research Scientist
I am a research scientist at the University of California, Berkeley, where I conduct research into Indigenous forms of contemplation expressed through transcendence experiences, including Indigenous qualitative methodologies and Western laboratory science in experimental design, physiological measurement, and the concepts and tools of social and cultural psychology. I bridge belonging work from Indigenous perspectives in defense of rights to our spiritual practices against extraction and appropriation in Western research more broadly, and in contemplative studies and psychedelic therapeutics and research specifically.
